She may not know it but her sordid past could have something to do with her behaviour now. Britney Spears was marketed as a well-adjusted and wholesome pop star but lawyer Eric Ervin, who worked with her when she was a teen, told US Weekly that it was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
The old Britney: Not that innocent? Well, that is not exactly the main news. Everyone had their suspicions. What's shocking however is that according to him, Britney lost her virginity to her boyfriend Reg Jones at the age of 14 (talk about young!) and that her relationship with Justin Timberlake had been intimate from the start.
In the same issue, the mag also revealed that Britney's paternal grandmother suffered from depression and killed herself when she was 31. Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, was a young teen at the time. Plus, two of Britney's uncles have criminal records.
The new Britney: Anything goes! Of course, none of this excuses her for being in her present sorry state of affairs but it sure does shed some light on why she is the way she is now.
