Let’s see you try to arrest me! (photo: Reuters)
Remember we told you about Hayden Panettiere and her bid to save the dolphins in Japan? Well, the girl is now a wanted criminal.
An arrest warrant has been issue in Japan for Hayden and six others who went into the water during the kill. The warrant states they were violating international commerce. In a statement to Access Hollywood about the matter, Hayden said, “Obviously this issue has generated a defensive behaviour on the part of both the Japanese authorities and the fishermen. I have grown up hearing - and adhering to - this phrase: ‘condemnation without investigation dooms one to everlasting ignorance.’”
The statement continues, “We must unite as a world to solve our increasing international environmental crises. We can no longer hide behind out-dated, senseless cultural traditions and lazy, bad habits that are resulting in the annihilation of our planet’s resources and the extinction of our species.”
Is Hayden worried she might be jailed, not at all she tells E! News. In fact, she says she might just return to try to save more dolphins!
Way to go girl! |
