Time to revisit the Hong Kong doc?

The Hong Kong actor admits to getting work done on his eyes when he was only 34 years old. "As I grew older, my eyelids began to droop. I began going for cosmetic surgery in Hong Kong when I was filming The God Of Gamblers in 1989," he said in an interview while promoting his new movie Dragonball in South Korea.

And he is willing to share his contact too! "If you go to Hong Kong for plastic surgery, I can introduce you to the doctor. He's cheap and good."

Seems like more trouble is coming Memey and Norman Hakim's way...The controversial Malaysian actors, who were busted for alleged khalwat (close proximity) last October, might be banned from Malaysian TV if found guilty by the Syariah court.

"We do not condone such indecent behaviour among local actors," says a source inside Radio Television Malaysia (RTM).

In another development, Memey, 20 and Norman, 32, pleaded not guilty to the khalwat charges at the Syariah Lower Court in Gombak Timur. Both were released on RM3,000 bail and a surety each. The court has set 3 March for the case to be mentioned again.

Who would have thought that Meet Uncle Hussain, an underdog at the Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL 23) could win Song of The Year at the highly popular Malaysian mainstream music awards show? But it pays to be real talents. The quartet of Lan (vocals), Taja (guitars), Afat (bass) and Kudux (drums) bowled over the professional judges (including Adibah Noor and an entertainment editor from Utusan Malaysia) at the prestigious TV3-owned show with Lagu Untuk Mu -- a haunting, indie pop-rock heartbreak song they penned in 2005 that was inspired by The Killers.

In their acceptance speech, Lan thanked everyone who have supported the indie music movement in the country. "This is a big recognition for our years of hard work. And an honour to all the independent bands in Malaysia." The band won $25,000 cash prize and a trophy for Best Song, plus another $12,000 for clinching the championship in the Pop/Rock category.

As for the crowd's favourite Faizal Tahir, the adequately talented pop singer/songwriter walked away with total cash prize of $32,000, having won in the individual categories of Best Vocal, Best Performance and Best Ballad for Sampai Syurga.

Move aside Mawi and Ekin. The pelamin is now set for Que Haidar, 29 and Linda Jasmine, 36.

The gifted Malaysian actor is set to wed his choreographer girlfriend of less than a year on 14 February at Bora Ombak Restaurant in Ampang. "Linda is the one for me. Our age gap don't matter to me. Age is just a number," comments Que.

The Maut star, who met Linda through a mutual friend, says he's attracted to her because of her maturity. "I need a woman who knows how to control me."

When asked what made her fall for the character actor, the gorgeous Linda, who is the chief critic in Sehati Berdansa has only this to say, "I'm a fussy pot. Que is the only man who can put up with me so far. Plus, my son (Qalif Khan -- her son from her previous marriage) adores him."

When will the romantic rumour on Datuk K end? The latest on Siti's darling hubby is that he’s not seeing an air stewardess, but Malaysian actress Rozita Che Wan. So smitten is he that he’s given her a pearly white BMW 3 series as a gift of love.

When confronted by the Malay press, Rozita vehemently denies the rumour, saying “I don’t know who Datuk K is. I’ve never even met him! I bought the BMW with my own money two years ago.”

I would love to believe you Rozita, but too many celebs, Siti and Datuk K included, had denied their relationship when it was sniffed out by the press. So I'm cynical.

It may be hard to believe, but all Shah Rukh Khan wanted upon his arrival in Malacca was to have Pepsi and strong coffee served in his RM3,500 royal suite. "He also loves tandoori chicken," revealed Bharat K. Ajmera, the owner of the luxurious Villa Istana, the hotel that hosted the Bollywood superstar. "He's a very simple guy, actually."

Seems like this is the season for Malaysian celebs to divorce. The latest casualty is Radhi of OAG. The indie pop-rocker and his wife of three years, Shazlin Sharif have called it quits.

"She wants out of the marriage," says a source close to Shazlin, adding that the singer/actress has already filed for fasakh (a provision in the Islamic law that allows a wife to divorce her husband) at a syariah court. "But he refuses to sign the divorce papers."

The couple have a three-year-old son.

Talk about husband snatchers. Fasha Sandha is apparently at it again. No, it's not just Datuk S as we had previously posted. The pretty Malaysian actress is said to be the cause behind Nora Danish’s split from her husband of slightly more than a year, Rizal Ashram Tan Sri Ramli (yes, he’s the son of former Perak Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib).

But what set tongues awagging is that Rizal has divorced Nora, the star of TV3’s hit drama series, Puteri while she’s heavily pregnant! Fortunately for Nora, the syariah court has declared the divorce null and void because under the Islamic law, a husband cannot divorce his wife when she’s pregnant. (The baby is due early next year)

Apparently, Fasha and her rumoured socialite boyfriend are planning to marry as soon as Rizal-Nora’s divorce proceedings are over. Stay tuned!
