| Lady Gaga Does Normal |
Gaga goes green It just gets stranger and stranger in the entertainment scene every day. For example, yesterday our jaws dropped when we saw photos of Lady Gaga arriving at Narita Airport, Tokyo, looking, erm, normal... well normal for her standards anyway.
Hundreds of fans greeted Mother Monster, who is in Tokyo for a charity concert. She arrived wearing a Valentino trenchcoat from the label's Fall 2011 collection.
What's even more shocking were Gaga's shoes! The patent leather Christian Louboutin Daffodil platform pumps were only about five-inch high and we all know Gaga only wears heels that 1) look like torture device and/or 2) are more than 10-inch in height!
She completed her "normal" look with square cut sunglasses. |

| Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress Gets Some Freshening Up |
I'm so over that look! Looks like it isn’t the last we’ve heard of that infamous meat dress which Lady Gaga wore at the MTV Video Music Awards nearly a year ago. This time, the dress will be going through careful treatment in preparation of entering the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland.
“It's going to be in a case and we are putting some canisters in there to control the humidity, and then we have this other canister that soaks up the glutens,” RRHOF chief curator Jim Henke told MTV News. “But it's in a sealed case and we have the gels to control the environment in there.”
But before that, the team had some tough work to do before getting it ready for storage. “We went back to [designer] Franc Fernandez ... ultimately what we decided to do, we sent it to a taxidermist, they put it into a meat locker and then we started working on it and created this [chemical] solution and treated it with that,” he said. To top it all off, they also did little bit of painting on the dress to bring it back and give it a little more colour.
The dress will be joining the Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power exhibit at the venue along with Gaga’s childhood piano and her Armani Prive orbit gown – which she wore to the 2011 Grammys. They are slated to stay there until February 2012. |

| First Look: Angelina Jolie In New Louis Vuitton Campaign |
Miss Minimalist While her predecessors, like Madonna and Jennifer Lopez, were made up like glam divas for their Louis Vuitton campaigns, Angelina Jolie goes the opposite direction.
In her debut campaign as the new face of the French luxury label, Ange wears her own clothes and no makeup for the shoot. And get this, the LV bag in the photo belongs to the actress. She has been using it for six years!
This photo, for LV's Core Values campaign, was shot by Annie Leibovitz in Cambodia.
“People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation,” Louis Vuitton’s executive vice president Pietro Beccari told WWD. “I like the fact that it’s a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand. This campaign is about a very special person and a very special journey.”
Oh, just in case you want a bag just like what Ange has on her shoulder, that's not possible as the monogrammed Louis Vuitton Alto carryall is out of production though Beccari said, "we are considering to re-edit it." |

| Gucci To Design Florence And The Machine's Concert Outfits |
One of Frida Giannini's sketches for Florence Welch When Florence Welch from Florence And The Machine goes on tour in the U.S. in summer, she will be wearing outfits by Gucci.
Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini happens to be a big fan of the singer. “When Florence first came onto the scene, I was captivated by her eccentric style and her willingness to dare. I felt there was such an authentic energy to her sound and her look. This was confirmed when I met her at the Grammy’s earlier this year," Giannini said.
The designer then used one of Florence And The Machine's songs, Hurricane Dunk, as inspiration for Gucci's Autumn/Winter women's fashion show.
So, when it came to designing outfits for the tour, Florence looked to the Italian label for support.
Florence explained: “I was extremely flattered when I heard that Frida’s collection had been inspired in part by my performances and I was completely bowled over by her collection, the dresses seemed perfect for my shows, the colours, the shapes, the movement in the fabric.
"So it seemed natural that we work together on creating some pieces for my upcoming US tour. I’m very grateful to Frida, it’s been a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to get dressed for the stage!” |

| Fashion: What Were They Thinking? |
I must say, sometimes the worst fashion on the red carpet draws as much as if not more attention than the best. Here are three (four actually bcos of the twins!) latest fashion disasters that stopped traffic.
Looks like Lady Gaga’s hair colour is inspired by the Green Lantern. While her black ensemble and plus plus plus platform heels hold no surprise for her fans (in fact, this look is a little subtle for her standard), Gaga rocks it like a tornado.
 Gaga goes green & black
As far as Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are concerned, why can’t they both get it right together. This time, they are both wearing designs by The Row, which is the twins’ own line. While Ashley looks okay in the blue dress, Mary-Kate is wearing something that would be a better fit for Joan Rivers.
 Bolder or older fashion?
But worst of all, to me, is Nicole Kidman. What was she thinking really wearing this multi coloured ensemble. Please, Nicole, tell us this is not your desperate attempt at holding on to your youth, wearing something that might suit better on a Nickolodeon star. For someone who used to be a celebrated fashionista, Nicole seems to have lost it here. Nicole in technicolor

| Britney Spears Sued For More Than US$10 Million |
|
Don't hold it against me! Britney Spears is being sued for more than US$10 million by a licensing firm that helped the pop singer launch a fragrance line marketed by Elizabeth Arden Inc.
Brand Sense Partners filed its breach of contract lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, also naming her father, Jamie Spears, who is the conservator of her estate.
A spokesman for Britneycould not immediately be reached.
According to the complaint, Brand Sense brokered Britney's deal with Elizabeth Arden in 2004, and stood to receive a 35 per cent commission on any resulting Britney-branded fragrances.
The cosmetics manufacturer duly rolled out a line of Britney-related products under such brand names as Radiance, Midnight Fantasy and Curious.
Britney in an ad for Radiance fragrance Alluding to Brotney's much-publicised personal battles in recent years, Brand Sense said its efforts "generated millions of dollars in revenue for Ms. Spears when she otherwise would have had little or none."
But Britney last year asked Elizabeth Arden to send all royalties to her, the suit alleged. After the firm confronted Britney, her father said the 35 per cent commission was too high and that his daughter did not want to pay it.
Moreover, the suit claims Britney then "secretly made a separate deal with Elizabeth Arden in a sneaky, under-handed effort to circumvent and evade its obligations to Brand Sense."
In addition to claiming "consequential and incidental" damages of more than US$10 million, Brand Sense is seeking punitive damages "based on the wanton, willful and oppressive nature" of the Britney's conduct. Reuters |

| Facebook Under Fire For Thinspiration |
Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani launched a petition on 18 March against pro-anorexia websites, and pointed to Facebook for propagating the disorder among young women and teens.
 Is thin in or out
Pro-anorexia websites, also known as "pro-ana" sites, offer instructions, inspiration, and tips for an anorexic and/or bulimic lifestyle. Many sites usually feature "thinspiration," or photographs or video montages, featuring slender or excessively thin models or celebrities.
On her blog, Sozzani cited a February study from the University of Haifa in Israel which surveyed 248 girls on their internet and media usage and their eating habits and attitudes regarding weight loss. The study found that "the more time adolescent girls spend in front of Facebook, the more their chances of developing a negative body image and various eating disorders, such as anorexia, bulimia and exaggerated dieting."
"Models, as I have underlined before," wrote Sozzani on her blog, "are in most cases naturally long, lean and slender being still very young and still not fully developed. The image they convey, however, is often that of an excessive thinness, but designers themselves discard those who are visibly suffering from nutritional problems." AFP Relaxnews |
