Oprah is under even more stress with the allegations of sexual and physical abuse at her school in South Africa. According to a South African news site, Oprah is visibly distraught at reports that some of the students had been abused by a school matron.

"I've disappointed you. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," Oprah was quoted as telling the families of the students. She also distributed her personal phone number and email address to students and promised parents to do all in her power to punish the abusers.

Thin? Nah! I am just healthy

Cat, of course, laughs it off. "How could I ever, ever be anorexic?" she told People magazine.

The 38-year-old attributed her weight loss to a better eating habit and more exercise. "I'm just working out and not chomping down what I usually chomp down."

Russell to Denzel: Here's spitting at you, lad!

They say first impressions count. But Russell Crowe did better than just make a good impression. He made a lasting impression on his American Gangster co-star, Denzel Washington.

Russell says he will never forget the first time he met Denzel while working together on the 1995 movie, Virtuosity. At the time, Russel was virtually unknown and had to do a screen test opposite Denzel, who was already famous. Describes Russell, “We had a cyclone wire fence between us and the scene was pretty intense. They said, ‘Action!’ and I started going into it. And this little bit of spit comes out of my mouth, it was really athletic and graceful, wound its way through the cyclone wire and straight onto Denzel’s lip. In the back of my mind I’ve got this voice going, ‘Oh my God, what have you done? And the thing is, Denzel was really cool about it. It was my screen test, so he just let it run (until) the director said, ‘Cut!’ His line, which I’ll always remember as cool, ‘I love the taste of saliva in the morning!’”

Taking a cue from the Osbournes, the Lohans have signed up to star in their own reality TV show.

Dina: Girls, this is how you do it.

The show will feature Dina Lohan and her singer/actress daughter Ali Lohan though Lindsay will make cameo appearances. Filming for the series, which will be shown on E!, is set to begin today in New York. Dina will be in the thick of action as well as serve as executive producer. The show will also follow her as she attempts to manage other performers’ careers. (The keyword being: attempts.)

Dina tells People, “It’s about what I do, how you can be successful, and be a single mum and fulfilling your kids’ dreams. It won’t just be following my family around like other shows. It’ll show me cultivating careers, going to soccer practice, Ali going to school and in the studio. It’ll encompass everything. Lindsay is a family member and will lend a helping hand if Ali asks her, when she’s in the recording studio. We just want it to be real.”

Because she’s such a fan of novelist Philip K. Dick (yes he of A Scanner Darkly and Minority Report fame), Alanis Morissette has joined the cast of his semi-autobiographical adaptation, Radia Free Albemuth. Alanis will play Sylvia, a woman who shows up in the vision of a record label executive named Nick (Jonathan Scarfe) as a glamorous singer. In reality, however, she’s an ordinary woman in unexpected remission from lymphoma who, after appearing in Nick’s visions, gets a job as his secretary. She becomes his soul mate, thanks to the pair’s shared spirituality and visions.

“I am a big fan pf Philip K. Dick’s poetic and expansively imaginative books,” Alanis said. “I feel blessed to portray Sylvia, and to be part of this story being told in film.”

No one is getting into the Spice Girls world tour without a ticket, not even Mr. Cruise

You know that it’s true the Spice Girls world tour is completely sold out when Tom Cruise himself can’t get tickets to the show.

That’s right people, Tom couldn’t get his hands on a couple of tickets to the concert, so he thought he’d ask his good friend Victoria B aka Posh Spice. Afterall, Tom did throw a really big bash when the Beckhams arrived in LA.

No way, Jose! That’s what Vic told Tom. In an interview recently, Tom said he called the Spice Girl hoping to get tickets. “I asked her if she could get them for me, but she said “I’m sorry. We’re all sold out.’”

Hey Tom, here’s a thought, why don’t you pay the Spice Girls to sing for you? It’s not like you can’t afford it!

OMG, I hope I’m not getting the axe next!

Here we go again, folks! Another celeb has been busted for driving under the influence. This time it’s Lost star Daniel Dae Kim who plays Jin-Soo Kwon.

The actor was arrested early Thursday by Honolulu police but was released after he posted bail later the same day.

Daniel’s arrest brings the number to four Lost stars who have been arrested for DUI. The others are Michelle Rodriguez who played Ana Lucia and Cynthia Watros who played Libby. The two, whose characters were killed off in 2005, pleaded guilty to drunken driving.

A year ago, Akinnuoye Agbaje, the actor who played Mr. Eko, was arrested for a traffic violation, disobeying a police officer and driving without a license. The charges were later dropped.

It looks like the creators have gotten rid of three of their “troubled” stars. Could Daniel’s fate hang in the balance?

Do I see a ray of hope in the dark and stormy relationship of fallen pop princess Britney Spears and ex-hubby Kevin Federline?

New reports have surfaced that the two are actually able to sit down at a table without having to reach across to strangle the other. Kevin and Britney have reunited in Beverly Hills to discuss parenting issues. After a few hiccups in Britney’s visitation schedule (rumours are that she missed a planned visit with her kids because she over slept), she’s apparently trying to get her act together, yet again.

Britney began a six-week Parenting Without Conflict program this week. Although Britney is required by judgement of the court to take part in the program as part of the couple’s ongoing child custody battle, Britney, apparently told friends she wants to attend the classes because she wants to regain full custody of her sons.

It’s anyone’s guess if Britney will be able to make all her appointments for the program. But if the pop tart is serious about getting her kids back, she had better stop her wild partying, her excessive boozing and her reported drug taking. C’mon Brit Brit, you really should know better by now!

How is she going to do that? Simple - Nic will eat just like most of us.

"It's not usual to see her work her way through a big plate of pasta, with bread, and then a dessert," one of her pals said.

It is reported that Nic has gained at least 5kg from all these gorging. Her pal also said that Nic loves her new, erm, bosom from the weight gain but finds "eating so much makes her lethargic and sleepy."

And if the Aussie actress needs more pointers on how to put on more weight, she can always ask Renee Zellweger who put on more than 15kg (by stuffing her face with peanut butter sandwich, pizza and fast food) to play the titular role in Bridget Jones' Diary and its sequel.
